Tennessee

(ain’t no place I’d rather be..)

Over a three day Easter weekend in April, took off (rather late and unplanned, despite

all attempts to coordinate a plan earlier) for Eastern Tennessee

and Gatlinburg.  Last time I was there with my father, I

had a definite connection down in Cades Cove

inside the park, and couldn’t wait to go

back.  After sleeping in a rest

                                         area on the interstate

                                                near Olive Hill,

                                                       KY, we

                                                          got

to Tennessee the next morning around 11 AM.  I learned some things on the trip

(Namely, don’t let Patrick attempt to find the best route through a city like

Knoxville, it will only cause pain and heartache) and generally had a

good, ol’ fashioned college road trip of fun and love.  And, before

I forget, thank God for friends like Dan and Erin Hauser

who are always up for helping out a girl that needs

more than anything, to run, and who watched

the uber-puppy for me while I partook

in Vacation. That was the best.

Yes, that’s a tampon.  Yes, Pat was bored and made a puppet, and if you happen to be Ariane, then you understand exactly where it was coming from.
