Funny how institutions of higher education
(really aren't?)
change each of us and all involved. laugh at that.

Your snappy patter throws me off
Your toothy grins kill me
I can't be pleasant and not restless
I can't resist laughing it up
and putting off the urge

to pillage and kill the order around us
takes up all my time.
I don't procrastinate, but I work on my own pace
I never have a free moment

And, unlike you, I'm not perfect.

I despise your ironing
How comfortably you slide
through days (and I gloat at
your need for naps,
even you're not infalliable)
(but we figured that out years ago.)
You're clueless to the benefits
of being a hopeless mess,
Of being a complex
and emotionally charged.

You're too good at being male
and accepting gratification when you can't prove you deserve it
but you live for it.
What work have you accomplished?
Are you even happy?
(when i ask you get upset but maybe its a sign...)
But.
On the outside you make an easier package to sell than
I do.
